👋What are our wishes:  

We are looking for an experienced Data Migration Project Leader to drive a complex data migration initiative. This role requires expertise in data migration and project leadership, ensuring smooth transition from legacy systems to new platforms while managing cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and risks effectively.

Required:

• 5+ years of experience leading data migration or integration projects.
• Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data modeling, governance, and quality control.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or data integration tools (Informatica, Talend, etc.).
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
• Strong documentation, reporting, scheduling, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to keep teams focused.

Preferred:

• Experience with cloud migrations (Azure, Databricks) and on-prem to cloud transitions.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.).
• PMP, PRINCE2, or CSM certification is a plus.

This role is ideal for someone who excels in both technical and leadership aspects of data migration projects.

Project & Stakeholder Management

• Define project scope, objectives, and timelines aligned with business goals.
• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and reports.
• Communicate project status, risks, and solutions to stakeholders at various levels.
• Coordinate with internal teams (IT, BI, Finance) and external vendors for smooth execution.

Data Migration Execution

• Oversee ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Implement best practices for data migration, security, and quality control.
• Monitor data cleansing, validation, and risk mitigation to prevent data loss or corruption.

Risk & Quality Management

• Identify and mitigate project risks, maintaining a risk register with action plans.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Conduct project reviews and prepare executive reports.

Team Leadership & Reporting

• Manage cross-functional teams, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.
• Foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Generate reports and dashboards using Power BI, Excel, and other Microsoft Office tools.
