Education and Work Experience
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Oracle Database and Oracle E-Business Suite management.
• Hands-on experience upgrading Oracle E-Business Suite from version 12.1.x to 12.2.x.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience maintaining and managing Oracle EBS 12.2 in Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations.
Technical Knowledge
• Strong understanding of Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 architecture and technical components.
• Proficient in Oracle EBS 12.2 cloning and patching (DB and Application) using ADOP.
• Skilled in troubleshooting common Oracle Application issues.
• Experienced in filing Service Requests using My Oracle Support (MOS).
• Proficient in Oracle RMAN backup and recovery procedures.
• Experienced in configuring and managing Oracle Data Guard.
• Strong performance tuning capabilities for Oracle Databases.
• Solid working knowledge of SQL*Plus and PL/SQL programming.
• Familiar with SQL Developer for database development and management.
• Proficient in managing Oracle databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Functional knowledge of Oracle EBS HR and Financial modules.
Optional Technical Knowledge
• Experience managing Oracle Applications and Databases in Azure Virtual Machines.
• Experience working with Oracle MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems administration.
• Familiarity with network infrastructure and troubleshooting.

💼How can you contribute to the team?
Scope of Work/Responsibilities
1. Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) Upgrade and Support
• Provide support in the ongoing technical upgrade of clients Oracle eBusiness Suite from version 12.1.3 to version 12.2.13.
• Troubleshoot issues during and after the upgrade with in-depth knowledge of the EBS 12.2 architecture.
• Guide the Database Administration Unit on best practices for maintaining an EBS 12.2 environment.
• Share knowledge of the EBS 12.2 ecosystem with other database administrators to enhance team capability.
2. Collaboration and Communication
• Assist the Database Administration Unit with Oracle database administration tasks.
• Report progress weekly to the Supervisor during team meetings.
• Work autonomously while coordinating and communicating with other ITID staff including team leads, QA, and developers.
3. Oracle Database Administration
• Perform cloning operations.
• Handle backup and recovery tasks:
a. Export/import for schema refresh.
b. Perform database recovery.
c. Full database restore and recovery.
d. Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR).
e. Implement backup policies and strategies.
f. Configure and administer Oracle Data Guard.
g. Conduct performance tuning activities.
• Manage storage:
a. Manage tablespaces.
b. Monitor and request disk expansion.
• Manage users and permissions:
a. Create users and roles.
b. Grant and revoke privileges.
4. Database Monitoring and Issue Resolution
• Monitor the overall performance of Oracle databases across all environments (development, testing, UAT, SIT, production).
• Perform daily checks on database availability.
• Deploy customizations and handle ad hoc requests.
• Assist the development team with potential application code issues.
5. Patching and Maintenance
• Apply patches to Oracle databases as needed, including bug fixes and security updates.
6. Software and Tool Management
• Manage and maintain tools used by the Database Administration Unit, including:
a. Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
b. Oracle Application Express (APEX).
7. User and Stakeholder Support
• Attend to end-user requests and issues by coordinating with relevant ITD units and other clients' departments.
8. Vendor and External Support Coordination
• Liaise with Oracle Support to follow up on internal Service Requests related to Oracle database or Oracle E-Business technology stack.
9. Automation of DBA Tasks
• Automate routine DBA tasks using Ansible or shell scripting, such as:
a. Monitoring and gathering database and server information.
b. Performing database backups.
c. Regular database cloning and schema refresh.
